What's in a name?

Our name "Reverie Box," is more than just a label - it's an invitation to a dreamy world of scents and serenity.

The Meaning of "Reverie"

The word "reverie" - /'rev(ə)rē/, originates from the French noun, meaning "daydream." It describes a serene state where the mind wanders, with sensations and thoughts blending together. In this dreamy realm, new ideas emerge, and possibilities seem endless. It's a moment when the best of what's possible comes into focus.

The 'box' in our name is inspired by a future where our artisanal candles deliver bespoke fragrances to your doorstep every month. Imagine enjoying a year-round journey of scentscapes that harmonize your home, creating a haven of tranquility and wonder.

Beyone the Flame

Each order also includes a complimentary scent sachet designed for small spaces like drawers, closets, cars, or luggage. They contain rice, vermiculite, Epsom salts, and fragrance oil.

Please keep closed (do not open), out of reach of children and pets, and avoid direct contact with surfaces. External use only.

At Reverie Box we take a very intentional approach to fragrance. Our products are carefully designed to ensure a gentle experience without being overpowering.

Our fragrances are crafted to be subtle and unobtrusive, perfect for creating an understated yet elevated atmosphere in any space, inviting reverie and relaxation.

Scent throw will be dependent on the size of the candle, fragrance type, as well as the size and conditions of the room you are burning it in.

We recommend burning your candles within a year of purchase, however a candle can live on indefinitely. Fragrance may fade after two years of shelf life.

From Candle to Container: Preparing Your Jar for a Fresh Start

To remove leftover wax, carefully pry out the wick tabs at the bottom of the jar and wipe clean any wax residue on the inside of the container with a soft cloth or paper towel.

We recommend gently hand washing the vessel with warm soap and water to prevent scratching or chipping the glass. Be sure to dry the vessel thoroughly after washing to prevent water spots.

Warning: Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials to remove wax, as they could damage the glass or leave residues.

Optimal Burning Tips for a Safe and Enjoyable Experience

To ensure a safe and enjoyable candle-burning experience, follow these optimal burning tips:

• Never Leave a Burning Candle Unattended: Ensure they are only ever placed on a level, heat resistant surface, and kept away from children/pets, drafts and flammable objects.
• Do Not Move or Touch the Candle While It Is Lit: This can cause accidents and injuries.
• Always Keep Your Wicks Trimmed to 1/4" Before Each Burn: This ensures the safest and most efficient performance out of your candle.
• Allow Your Candle to Burn for 3-4 Hours Upon First Use: Our candles are designed to not reach a full melt pool on the first few burns. As the candle burns further down, any residual wax along the sides will continue to melt down.
• Do Not Burn for Longer Than 4 Hours at a Time: This can cause the wax to overheat and lead to a fire hazard.
• Keep Wicks Centered at All Times: Ensure the wax pool is kept free of matches, wick trimmings and other debris.
• Discontinue use when only 1/2" of wax remains at the bottom of the container: This ensures the candle is used safely and efficiently.
• To prevent blackening of candle glass follow these tips: Keep the candle away from moving air, including:
• Fans
• Air conditioners
• Open windows
• Areas where people travel back and forth
• Moving air disturbs the flame - leading to an uneven burn and can cause the formation of soot marks on the glass.
• To keep the vessel looking polished - we recommend using a soft cloth or tissue to gently wipe it clean as necessary between burns.

By following these tips - you can help prevent blackening of candle glass and keep your candles looking their best.
